1. Accepting these terms
Type Fighter (typefighter.net) is a free online typing game. By visiting the site or playing the game — with an account or as a guest — you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the service.
2. What the service is
Type Fighter lets you play typing battles in your browser: solo levels and boss fights, timed practice, and online multiplayer against other players. You can create an account to save progress across devices and appear on public leaderboards, or play as a guest with progress stored only on your own device. The game is free to play.
3. Your account
Accounts use a username and password — no email address is required. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens under your account. We may reclaim, rename or remove accounts that sit unused, impersonate someone else, or break these terms.
4. Fair play
Type Fighter is a skill game, and the leaderboards only mean something if results are real. You agree not to:
- use bots, macros, auto-typers or any other form of automated or scripted input;
- exploit bugs to gain an advantage (if you find one, please report it instead);
- tamper with the client, network traffic or stored data to falsify results;
- interfere with other players' games or with the operation of the service.
If we believe an account has broken these rules, we may remove its leaderboard entries, reset its statistics, or suspend or permanently ban it — at our discretion and without prior notice.
5. Usernames and content
Your username appears publicly on leaderboards and in multiplayer matches. Usernames must not be offensive, hateful, sexually explicit, or chosen to impersonate another person or brand. We may rename or remove any account whose name breaks this rule.
6. The service is provided "as is"
Type Fighter is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that the game will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that saved progress, statistics or leaderboard entries will never be lost.
7. Changes to the game
We may add, change, rebalance or remove features at any time — including game modes, ranking systems and leaderboards — and may reset leaderboards or statistics where needed (for example after a balance change or to remove cheated scores). We may also suspend or discontinue the service entirely.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Type Fighter and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, progress or rankings, arising out of your use of (or inability to use) the service. The service is free; your sole remedy for any dissatisfaction with it is to stop using it.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the updated terms.
